Italian TV broadcaster Switchover Media has launched Switchover Licensing, an in-house licensing, franchise management and brand marketing unit.

The new arm leverages Switchover’s broadcast brands K2 and Frisbee, imprints that boast a daily reach of 1.5 million kids between the ages of four and 14.

In addition to managing the channel brands, the licensing arm will develop licensing, sponsorship and brand marketing activities related to all the programming on the channels.

Tiziana Barbuto, who previously held executive roles at Victoria Licensing and Marketing, Oregon Scientific and Giochi Preziosi, has been named the manager of the new operation.
