First Nickelodeon block hits Balkan region

Viacom has inked a partnership with Bulgarian entertainment broadcaster TV7 to launch the first localized Nickelodeon-branded block for young viewers in Bulgaria.

Starting on April 25, Bulgarian kids will get a daily eyeful of Nickelodeon content with two hours of preschool animation in the morning and two hours of animation and live-action in the afternoon via TV7’s cable, satellite and free-to-air terrestrial analogue platforms including TV7 and Super 7. The Nickelodeon branded block will also be available as part of the TV7 IPTV service.

The multi-property deal includes more than 20 Nickelodeon program titles comprising in excess of 1,000 episodes of signature animation and live-action series. Among the offerings will be multiple series of Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Penguins of Madagascar, iCarly, The Troop, Big Time Rush, Jimmy Neutron and True Jackson VP.
