Teamworks inks English Spike Team deal

Milan, Italy-based TeamWorks has appointed Santa Barbara, California's Foothill Entertainment as the exclusive distributor in all English-speaking territories for its animated sports-centric series Spike Team.

Milan, Italy-based TeamWorks has appointed Santa Barbara, California’s Foothill Entertainment as the exclusive distributor in all English-speaking territories for its animated sports-centric series Spike Team.

The deal marks the introduction of the volleyball-themed series that has garnered ratings success in Italy to the English market.

Based on an original idea from Italian volleyball champion Andrea Lucchetta, the 2-D series focuses on six ordinary girls that can do extraordinary things.
