A third season of Zodiak Kids’ preschool series Waybuloo will premiere on April 4 on BBC’s children’s digital channel CBeebies.
The series renewal comes on the heels of a February 2011 Brand Trends report, which found that Waybuloo is in the top-five brands targeted at boys and girls, and more than 50% of those sampled wanted to see more Waybuloo-inspired merchandise. And more is on its way. Master publisher Egmont plans to launch an additional 12 new titles this year and international licensing programs will begin to roll out in Australia and New Zealand. Other key categories will follow in late 2011.
Waybuloo is produced by Zodiak Kids division The Foundation along with Decode Entertainment. Zodiak Rights holds worldwide rights in all media for the Waybuloo brand, with the exception of Canada where Decode Enterprises handles broadcast and home entertainment, and DHX Licensing represents consumer products.
