In an effort to keep up with increased production output, Hasbro Studios, the two-year-old production and distribution division of Hasbro, has undergone a group restructuring.
The studio has split its boys/action and girls/preschool creative teams into separate Series Development and Current Programming groups.
The former heads of both units will continue to lead the revamped teams. Mike Vogel will make the move from executive director of boys and action programming to VP of development for Boys, Action, Girls and Preschool Programming. Former SVP of girls and preschool programming Linda Steiner has been promoted to SVP, current programming, where she will manage studio-produced series once they are on the air.
VP of production Kathy Page, meanwhile, will lead an expanded team to support the restructured departments with production and post-production services, while continuing to assist in oversight of outside production service relationships.
The departmental restructuring is a strategic move in response to the growing number of Hasbro series airing on The Hub – the joint venture between Hasbro and Discovery Communications – as well as in international markets.
