Indie film entertainment studio Lionsgate has inked two partnerships in light of the home entertainment release of Alpha and Omega, an animated movie about wolves that hits retail on January 11. The studio has teamed up with North American indoor waterpark resort Great Wolf Resorts to create a series of cross-promotional deals resulting in discounts for both companies’ products.

Lionsgate will package in both the Alpha and Omega Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD an insert for US$50 off a two night booking at any of the company’s 10 U.S. Great Wolf Lodge resort locations nationwide. In return, Great Wolf Resorts will include a US$5.00 discount code for the Blu-ray or DVD within each of its pre-arrival emails. Great Wolf Resorts will also promote the title with lobby signage and content running on its in-lodge television channel.

Lionsgate has also partnered with Defenders of Wildlife, an advocate for innovative solutions to safeguard wildlife, for a special Alpha and Omega-branded Adopt a Wolf donation promotion. The Alpha and Omega DVD will be a featured premium within special Alpha and Omega-branded Adopt a Wolf donation packages, which will be available on the nonprofit organization’s website.
