Under the new brand of Touch & Tilt apps, Scholastic Media has launched its first children’s storybook apps designed specifically for the iPad.

The new Touch & Tilt line of iPad book apps, developed in-house and now available in the US on the iTunes App Store, encompasses the I Love You Through and Through, The Magic School Bus: Oceans and Go, Clifford, Go! titles.

The I Love You Through and Through app, based on the Scholastic book by Bernadette Rosetti-Shustak, is aimed at kids two and up for US$4.99. The app allows kids to touch the words to hear the story and touch characters or objects to watch animation

Preschoolers will also see similar features in Go, Clifford, Go!, which also includes a game that allows users to drive vehicles featured in the story and collect bones for Clifford.

And for a slightly older audience, The Magic School Bus: Oceans app, available for US$7.99, takes advanced facts from the book and brings them to life through seven interactive science explorations and one game.
