Toronto, Canada-based indie prodco Wizard Hat Productions will produce 26 half-hour episodes of a tween-targeted, CGI-animated show based on the Grim Hill book series.
Wizard Hat is working with the books’ author Linda DeMeulemeester and publisher Lobster Press to bring the five-book series and its protagonists Cat, Sookie, Jasper and Clive to the small screen.
The boutique animation producer, recently launched by Pam Slavin, Toni Stevens and Bill Fox, is looking to produce global programming for a target audience of preschoolers and tweens as well as animated comedies for six- to 11-year-olds.
