The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced its award winners in the 2010 Children’s sector.

Aardman Animations/CBBC’s Shaun the Sheep took home the award for best Animation, while CBeebies was named Children’s Channel of the Year. Independent Production Company of the Year went to Kindle Entertainment and Horrible Histories (Lion Television/CBBC) took home the top Comedy award. On the feature film front, Disney/Pixar/Walt Disney Studios’ Up outshined fellow nominees Toy Story 3, Nanny McPhee and the Bing Bang and Fantastic Mr. Fox to take the prize.
