Universal Pictures has acquired the rights to the Dark Horse comic Emily the Strange, with Chloe Moretz attached to star and Dark Horse Entertainment founder and president Mike Richardson set to produce.
Created by artist Rob Reger in 1993, Emily the Strange has evolved into a global lifestyle brand ranging from comic books with Dark Horse Comics to gift books and stationery from Chronicle Books to a new series of four full-length teen novels from HarperCollins’ imprint, HarperTeen.
