E1 Entertainment Canada is releasing the Toronto-based 9 Story Entertainment’s family comedy Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars on DVD in the territory this fall.
The film, which debuted on Disney Channel US this past March, marks the beginning of an ongoing distribution agreement between E1 and 9 Story. It will be distributed by Vivendi Entertainment in the US.
Based on the literary character created by Louise Fitshugh, the movie puts a contemporary twist on the precocious character of Harriet, (Jennifer Stone of Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place) who is determined to become class blogger. Competing against her nemesis, Marion Hawthorne, Harriet will do whatever it takes to win the coveted title.
