Kids in Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.), an international children’s charity, will be honoring three women for their support of children in need at the fourth-annual Women in Industry Luncheon on June 3 in New York.
Among the honorees is Christina Miller, SVP of Cartoon Network Enterprises and Turner Sports, accompanied by Elyse Kroll, chairman & CEO of the fashion trade show company ENK International, and fashion entrepreneur Liz Lange.
For her part, Miller, a member of the K.I.D.S. board of directors, has facilitated the donations of new toys, clothes and other licensed product to the org. She is vice chairman of the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) Board of Directors and also a board member of the Toy Industry Foundation.
In 2009, K.I.D.S. distributed nearly US$4 million worth of new toys to children in need, all donated by companies involved in the toy industry. Over the past 25 years, K.I.D.S. has provided more than 65 million children with close to one billion dollars of new clothing, toys, basic necessities, juvenile products and books.
Individual tickets for the luncheon are US$250. For more information about tickets and table sponsorships, send an email to kids_luncheon@frontier.com
