People moves: BBC Worldwide names retail head

BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm and a wholly owned subsidiary of the BBC, has appointed Bob Traub as VP of Retail Development for the Americas.

BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm and a wholly owned subsidiary of the BBC, has appointed Bob Traub as VP of Retail Development for the Americas.

Traub is now charged with extending BBC Worldwide’s extensive portfolio of brands, including Doctor Who and In the Night Garden,into the US retail sector.

Traub joins BBC Worldwide with 16 years of US and international licensing and marketing experience in entertainment, including leading the global retail synergy plans for companies such as Chorion, Nickelodeon and Marvel Entertainment Group.

Reporting to Tom Keefer, SVP Global Licensing, Traub will be based in BBC Worldwide’s New York office.
