UK-based toy manufacturer Martin Yaffe International (MYI) has brought Charles Spieler on board as its new sales director.
Spieler was the former MD at Brite Power International, where he developed and marketed a range of licensed toys and novelty items. Following the sale of Brite Power, Charles set up Peter Pan Products in 2007, an import/export licensed product agency.
The deal, which was inked at the end of April, also includes the acquisition of Peter Pan Products, which will continue to be managed by Spieler while becoming a subsidiary of MYI.
The acquisition follows a slew of new UK licensing deals this year for MYI, including ZingZillas, Timmy Time and Chuggington, as well as the renewal of the Bob the Builder master toy deal.
