On the heels of this year’s MIPTV, UK-based Parthenon Entertainment has secured a series of worldwide sales deals for its preschool CGI animated children’s series, City of Friends (26 x 10-minutes).

In addition, a Christmas special and second series is also set for production.

Produced by Norway’s CreaCon Entertainment, City of Friends was originally launched at MIPTV last year and has been sold internationally to more than 100 countries. Most recent broadcasters include France 5 and Yoopa in Canada.

One of the first children’s series to be produced in Norway, the series chronicles characters involved in aspects of the emergency services, including police, fire and ambulance. It has spawned its own road show and plans for a feature film and an exclusive children’s theme park in Norway are also underway.
