Nickelodeon UK appoints managing director

Nickelodeon UK has named Tina McCann as its new senior vice president and managing director, where she will assume overall responsibility for the UK network's operations and brands.

Nickelodeon UK has named Tina McCann as its new senior vice president and managing director, where she will assume overall responsibility for the UK network’s operations and brands.

Reporting to the Board of Nickelodeon UK, McCann, who will start on May 10, is a seasoned manager of international digital content with a background in programming. She launched Cartoon Network and TCM across Europe, starting her career at Turner Broadcasting as director of programming and culminating as senior vice president and general manager of the EMEA entertainment channels. She currently sits as the acting chief content officer for Turner Broadcasting in EMEA, where she is responsible the Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Cartoonito brands.

Reporting to McCann will be Andy Goodhand, who will assume the role of senior vice president, strategy and planning director, effective immediately. Goodhand will be responsible for the development of Nick UK’s strategic plans across the business. He will also oversee strategic property and consumer product management and development, consumer and commercial marketing, press and PR, research and channel planning.
