BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, has named Brecrest as the first licensee for the preschool series Wibbly Pig, which airs daily on CBeebies.
UK-based Brecrest is producing a range of apparel for the brand geared towards fans ages zero to three. The line includes daywear, nightwear, bodysuits and accessories and will initially launch through Sainsbury’s TU label for Fall/Winter 2010. The items will be available to other UK retailers starting in Spring 2011.
The deal sees a continuation of the partnership between BBC Worldwide and Brecrest, which also holds a license to produce children’s apparel for Ragdoll/BBC property In the Night Garden.
