On the eve of MIPTV, Italy’s Mondo TV Group finalized an agreement with Chicago, US-based Showplace Television Syndication to broadcast its animated series Angel’s Friends on the NBC network. The series will air on the Saturday and Sunday morning time slots on NBC and its affiliates for a 12-month period starting June 29, 2010.
Produced by Mondo TV in association with Play Entertainment, Angel’s Friends is a series of cartoons made up of 52 episodes lasting 13 minutes each, based on an original idea by Simona Ferri (who actively participates in the project and as artistic director and as director of Play Entertainment).
