Sesame Workshop has announced the release of 12 full episodes of the PBS Kids Go! series The Electric Company on iTunes.
The episodes are now available for download on the iTunes Store and free podcasts will be made available later this month. The Electric Company, targets the six to nine set and teaches the importance of literacy through the use of music videos, sketch comedy and animated shorts. The show’s first season, which includes lessons in literacy taught by US celebrities like Jimmy Fallon, Kelly Ripa and Pete Wentz, can be purchased for US$19.99, and individual episodes are available for US$1.99. The digital podcasts will be made available on iTunes and on www.PBS.org and are sponsored by American Greetings and Beaches Resorts.
