Following in the footsteps of a deal forged for Thomas & Friends last year, HIT Entertainment has selected Fisher-Price as the master toy licensee for its Angelina Ballerina brand.
The toy line, slated to launch in fall 2010, is based on CGI series Angelina Ballerina The Next Steps. The series, derived from Angelina’s publishing program, launched in September 2009 and airs in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and France.
Fisher-Price is looking at producing a variety of toys for girls ages four to seven, including figures and dolls, play sets, dollhouses, vehicles and plush toys. The line has landed an exclusive US launch at mass-market giant Target stores that will then role out globally in 2011.
Angelina Ballerina The Next Steps features the aspiring ballerina on her journey through a performing arts school. It’s produced by HIT Entertainment and THIRTEEN in association with Nick Jr. UK and WNET.ORG.
