MTV Networks International has announced that Nickelodeon will provide localized services on the UPC digital cable platform in the Czech Republic and Romania.

The move allows viewers in those regions to watch series like True Jackson, SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer in their local languages. Localized websites in both countries (www.nickelodeon.cz and www.nickelodeontv.ro) will offer program schedules, downloads, promos and more. The launch marks a growth in Nickelodeon’s presence in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and Africa and will increase the net’s global reach to 111 countries.
