Paris-based distributor PGS Entertainment has taken on Studio Hari’s new series The Gees for worldwide distribution across TV, video and licensing & merchandising categories.

The 52 x three-minute HD CGI-animated series is the latest property from the animation house behind comic short series The Owl, which has sold in over 200 territories. The Gees currently has backing from France kidnet Guilli, which is on-board as a co-producer.

The Gees are the newest superstars on the planet – the first extra-terrestrials to visit the Earth. They are inquisitive, friendly and quirky, and their boundless enthusiasm in exploring the human world is matched only by their total clumsiness and irresistible urges to do the wrong thing at the wrong time. From visiting the White House to fishing in Nunavut or working in a top restaurant, The Gees’ presence never causes anything but chaos. Their mission to experience everything Earth has to offer has humankind bewildered.

PGS, which represents children’s animated series from Samka, Method and Nerdcorps, amongst others, will launch The Gees to the international marketplace at MIPTV.
