Big Tent Entertainment, based in New York has brought Lisa K. Weiner on board as its new director of brand development.
Weiner brings more than 20 years of experience in licensing, brand management, sales and marketing to Big Tent. In her new role, she’ll look to help maximize the company’s brands in licensee sales and at retail, including fashion and viral superstar Domo, Discovery Kids, manga publisher TOKYOPOP and Telemundo, an Hispanic US-based content producer.
Weiner comes to Big Tent after nearly eight years at Random House Children’s Books where she served as director of brand management. During her tenure, Weiner supervised publishing programs for key children’s properties such as Barbie, Thomas and Friends, Richard Scarry and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Prior to joining Random House, Weiner held leadership roles at Golden Books and Mattel, specifically in the areas of licensed publishing, as well as many other licensed categories like home furnishings and stationery.
