CBeebies’ controller Michael Carrington is making the move to Turner Broadcasting as its new chief content officer for EMEA.
Filling the void left by Finn Arnesen‘s departure last October, Carrington is taking the reins on April 6 from Tina McCann, who has been serving as interim CCO. His last day as controller of CBeebies is February 26.
When he steps into his new role, Carrington will be responsible for the development and creation of all original series, co-pros and program acquisitions for Turner’s portfolio of children’s channels within the UK and EMEA, including Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Cartoonito.
