Toronto-based Decode Enterprises, the distribution subsidiary of DHX Media, has scored a number of international sales for new live-action comedy series How to be Indie.

ABC Australia, Turner Broadcasting’s Boomerang channel in Latin America, M-Net (Africa), Italy’s DeAgostini and Canal+ Cyfrowy Sp. Z o.o. Poland have all snapped up the tween show, which is produced by Toronto’s Heroic Film Company and is currently airing on YTV in Canada.

How to be Indie revolves around the story of 13-year-old Indie as she endeavours to balance the traditions of her South Asian family with her Western lifestyle.
