A new agreement between Toronto, Canada-based home entertainment distributor Phase 4 Films and Nelvana Enterprises will sees the pair entering two long-term DVD deals.
Under the license, Phase 4 Films will market, manufacture and distribute many of Nelvana Enterprises’ existing and upcoming children’s titles on DVD in the US and Canada. Brands included are Toopy and Binoo, Franklin, The Berenstain Bears, Max & Ruby and 6Teen. The DVDs will be released under Phase 4’s children’s and family label, kaBOOM! Entertainment.
This marks the first time the collaboration between the two includes US rights. An earlier partnership generated more than 6.5 million unit sales in the Canuck market alone, and upcoming releases include preschool series Waybaloo and Big & Small.
