A new dramedy from producers of the US version of The Office has entered into production at TeenNick.
The half-hour, 20-ep Gigantic is the first original scripted show for the former The N and the net’s second collaboration with prodco Reveille, which is most known for its work on reversioning Ricky Gervais’ The Office for the US market. It’s also the first production from Grady Twins, whose executive producers Marti Noxon and Dawn Parouse Olmstead worked on such series as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Grey’s Anatomy and Mad Men.
Gigantic takes place in Hollywood and tells a coming-of-age story about pop culture fame as teens grow up in the shadow of their parents’ star status. The series is set to premiere early 2010 on TeenNick.
