Fish Hooks, the working title for Disney Channel’s latest animated comedy series, has entered into production for a fall 2010 premiere.

Revolving around a trio of aquatic friends who attend Freshwater High, located in a giant fish tank in a local pet store, the 21-ep series by Disney Television Animation mixes 2-D digital animation and photo collage styles.

Created by children’s book illustrator Noah Z. Jones, the new series was developed for TV by Alex Hirsch (The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack) and Bill Reiss (Chowder), executive-produced by Adam Burton (The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy). Carl Greenblatt (Chowder) and Bill Reiss will direct.
