Charlotte aux Fraises, as Strawberry Shortcake is known to kids in France, is getting a broadcast boost, as American Greetings Properties brings a new CGI animated series to Disney Channel France.

Debuting in April 2010 for six months will be Berry Bitty Adventures, followed by a launch on M6 in October 2010. M6 is also on board to distribute the new DVD Charlotte aux Fraises Tous unis pour Fraisi-Paradis! (The Strawberry Shortcake Movie: Sky’s the Limit) this December.

Meanwhile, licensing agency CPLG France and the Cookie Jar Group, along with more than 50 licensees have launched product this year in various categories, from publishing, apparel, footwear, toys and games, decoration, gift, health and beauty and confectionery.

AG, Cookie Jar and Hasbro are in development on a new Charlotte website at www.charlotteauxfraises.fr, slated for a December launch.
