Kids in the States will be able to take home the drama this summer as Warner Home Video has sealed a deal with Cartoon Network Enterprises to release all 27 eps animated comedy-reality series Total Drama Island on DVD.
Created by Toronto, Canada’s Fresh TV and distributed by Cake Entertainment, the series debuted on Cartoon Network last June and has already given way to the sequel, Total Drama Action.
The DVD (SRP US$34.99)), set for an August 18 release date, features bonus cast interviews, with a pre-order date of July 14.
Cartoon Network will support the homevid release with targeted on-air advertising spots, along with as a kid-focused marketing campaign with ads on CartoonNetwork.com and various kid websites.
