Celebrating its 30th anniversary today, Nickeldeon Kids & Family TV nets – Nickelodeon, Noggin, The N, Nicktoons Network and Nick at Nite – posted their best Q1 performance ever, generating year-over-year growth.
Nick’s TV portfolio drew an average of 26.2 million kids in the K2-11 range each week in first quarter. Among the highlights were the 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards, which aired this past Saturday, setting a new record as the biggest KCAs to date and bringing in a record 7.7 million sets of eyeballs. Its popular iCarly series saw ratings soar 63% with the K2-11 set and spike 104% among tweens over last year. Nick’s premiere of the CGI-animated series The Penguins of Madagascar was the most-watched series premiere in the net’s history with 6.1 total million viewers , and Wolverine and The X-Men on Nicktoons Network earned its best Q1 performance, posting double-digit increases with all key demos.
