With its Upfront presentation less than a week behind it, Cartoon Network revealed its best first-quarter prime time ratings and delivery growth since Q1 2005.

Prelim data from Nielsen Media Research shows that CN scored double-digit primetime delivery gains between 19% and 27% across all kid demos from two to 11, six to 11 and nine to 14. Meanwhile, the same age demos also saw a healthy spike in the boys’ audience between 26% and 34%.

The total day front also experienced a bit of a bump, between 4% and 8% versus the same time period in 2008, while the boys side also increased between 6% and 14% over the quarter.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars led CN’s force in primetime performance, locking in triple-digit delivery gains across all kid demos compared to the previous year, also snagging the number-one spot in its time period with kids six to 11. The kidnet’s Friday night action-adventure block and Har Har Tharsdays comedy block also brought in some healthy numbers.
