As Bologna Children’s Book Fair enters its second day, Milan-based Atlantyca Entertainment has inked two global publishing deals.

21st Century has come aboard to publish 60 titles of Atlantyca’s popular Geronimo Stilton book series in mainland China, with the first ones set to roll out in time for Children’s Day at the beginning of June.

And over in Germany, Baumhaus Verlag has snagged the licensing rights, including audio and electronic, to the German-language translation of kid-targeted Century book series from Italian publishing house Edizioni Piemme, repped by Atlantyca’s foreign rights division. The first two books are set to be published this fall, to coincide with the Frankfurt Book Fair.

The Century series follow the challenges of four young children, deemed ‘the chosen ones,’ who have been selected to complete a test mission every 100 years. The property’s publishing rights have already been sold in Australia, Belgium Brazil, Korea, France, Holland, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, South Africa. Thailand, Taiwan, Turkey and the UK.
