Discovery Kids block launches across Asia-Pacific

Following the launch of a Discovery Kids block in India this past January, it looks like Discovery Networks is rolling out the hour-long weekend block in new territories across Asia-Pacific.

Following the launch of a Discovery Kids block in India this past January, it looks like Discovery Networks is rolling out the hour-long weekend block in new territories across Asia-Pacific.

The block will feature a line-up to encourage kids to explore and learn about their world through science, adventure, natural history through documentaries, reality shows, scripted dramas and animated stories. It’ll air Saturdays and Sundays in Southeast Asia (11 a.m.), Taiwan (10 a.m.) and Australia/New Zealand (7:30 a.m.), and also hit airwaves in Japan this July, with times to be determined.

Series already on-board include Land of the Mammoth, Alien Planet, Dinosaur Planet, Ultimate Guide: Human Body, Planet of Life: The Insect World, Mean Machines, Mummies of Peru – Chiribaya and Inside the Space Station.
