With just a week to go before KidScreen Summit gets underway at the Hilton New York, the 2009 edition is on track to be one of the largest in the event’s 10-year history, drawing two-thirds of its attendees from outside the US.

Notably, along with providing its signature mix of thought-provoking conference sessions and practical workshops, KidScreen Summit 2009 has lined up more networking opportunities than ever.

A full 19 broadcast execs will be on-hand to field more than 200 pitches at the Speed Pitching sessions, and three Speed Networking sessions (consumer products, co-productions and interactive) have been set up to help make quick introductions at the outset of the event. Additionally, three parties are lined up, starting with Little Airplane Productions’ night-before-the-Summit Lift-Off shin-dig being held at its South Street Seaport studios on February 10 at 6:30 p.m. Then there’s an Opening Reception at the Hilton on Wednesday, February 11 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm, followed by a Cocktail Mixer the next night from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.
