HIT Entertainment’s Thomas & Friends will be rolling into China in the coming months.

HIT’s first venture into China includes a broadcast deal with national broadcaster CCTV and the appointment of Promotional Partners Group Ltd. (PPW) as licensing agent for Thomas & Friends in China. Its first range of consumer products, from TOMY and RC2, is scheduled for launch in 2009.

As well, the company has inked a co-pro deal with Annix Productions for the all new preschool IP Little Charley Bear.

The property is based on an irreverent teddy bear character and his playful journeys and was developed by Annix Studios, a UK-based CGI specialty house and the 26 x seven minute series will be co-prod with HIT Entertainment.
