Teletubbies play centers expand in China

BBC Worldwide is opening the second Teletubbies Play and Development Centre with Shenzhen Tianyuan Business Management in Southern China.

BBC Worldwide is opening the second Teletubbies Play and Development Centre with Shenzhen Tianyuan Business Management in Southern China.

The new location is slated to open on September 20 and follows a in the footsteps of the first center which opened in February 2006, offering activities designed to develop early learning skills based on the now iconic live-action preschool series.

Teletubbies has more than 30 licensees in China and the series continues to be broadcast on 30 regional channels across the country. Four branded Photoshops have opened in Shanghai and more than three million Teletubbies DVDs and CDs have been sold.
