FremantleMedia is betting it’s a WeeWorld after all

FremantleMedia Enterprises has picked up licensing right to Boston, Massachusetts-based online community WeeWorld and is getting to work on develop a merch program for the brand and its avatar the WeeMee.

FremantleMedia Enterprises has picked up licensing right to Boston, Massachusetts-based online community WeeWorld and is getting to work on develop a merch program for the brand and its avatar the WeeMee.

The site www.weeworld.com currently has more than 23 million WeeMees registered worldwide. The customizable, interactive avatars can also be used be created on several sites, including Windows Live Messenger and AOL’s Instant Messenger, and are portable to all major social networks and blogging sites.

For its part, FME is looking to expand WeeWorld into a variety of categories, including collectibles, apparel, home, toys, and gifts.
