Ben Lyons, from US entertainment net E!, has been tapped to host Nickelodeon's new extreme sports competition series, My Family's Got GUTS. The new primetime series produced by Worldwide Biggies will premiere on Nickelodeon on Monday, September 15.

• WWE Superstar, hip hop musician and actor John Cena has been confirmed to co-host at Nickelodeon's Australian Kids' Choice Awards 2008 on Saturday October 11 at Hisense Arena, Melbourne Park.

Toei Animation's GeGeGe no Kitaro and Hakaba Kitaro have been selected to screen at this year's Locarno International Film Festival. GeGeGe no Kitaro is scheduled to bow on August 16 at 11 a.m. and Hakaba Kitaro will be shown on August 16 at 2 p.m.
