20th Century Fox Licensing and Merchandising has granted Hallmark Cards portfolio licensing rights for the social expressions category.

Through the agreement, Hallmark has access to Fox’s TV, film, animation and sports properties and will create a line of cards using images and sound clips from the Ice Age, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Night at the Museum franchises, among others.

The partnership builds upon a current program that features The Simpsons that uses embedded sound chips to play character dialogue and music from the animated series.

Hallmark will support the product launch with four-feet of exclusive in-line retail space in nearly 3,700 of its Hallmark Gold Crown stores across the US.
