Cartoon Network has started development on three original movies based on comic books.

Firebreather, created by Phil Hester, Mice Templar by Mike Avon Oeming and Bryan Glass will be produced in CGI and IDW Publishing’s The Vanishers, created by Chuck Dixon, will be made into a live-action movie.

Ramsey Naito, VP of long-form at Cartoon Network, says the network will continue to look for projects to fill the expanded original movie slate.
