PorchLight Entertainment has picked up worldwide distribution, licensing and merchandising rights for Tan, a new toon from upstart studio Lincoln Butterfield that follows the martial arts misadventures of egg-come-protagonist Tan.

Lincoln Butterfield, the new-ish animation studio founded by director Robert Hughes, Mitch Schauer (creator of Nick’s The Angry Beavers), Michael Lessa, and business exec Joseph Walker is producing the 26 x half-hour series. Two 11-minute shorts will be ready for delivery by this fall.

The series, aimed at the six to 11 demo, follows the adventures of egg Tan, a recent graduate of the Lo Fat Martial Arts Academy & Cooking School.
