Hyderabad, India-based DQ Entertainment International and MoonScoop Group in Paris are joining forces to co-produce at least five TV series and two feature films for worldwide distribution, pooling an estimated US$100 million production pot.

The new partners expect to release at least one TV series or film during each year of the agreement, which is scheduled to run through 2012.

The companies are also focusing on new media business development, taking a page from MoonScoop distribution arm Taffy Entertainment’s launch of kid-oriented VOD/Broadband channel Kabillion (US) and Taffy Kids (Europe).

The two companies have previously worked together on The Fantastic Four based on the famous superheroes from Marvel, and MoonScoop Group’s Mike Young Productions and DQE paired up for ToddWorld and the upcoming Twisted Whiskers, a co-production with American Greetings.
