London-based Tiger Aspect Productions’ latest preschool offering Tinga Tinga Tales has gone into production with co-pro partners CBeebies, Playhouse Disney and Entertainment Rights.
Additionally ER is handling worldwide distribution rights for the property across all media. The 52 x 11-minute series is currently in production at Tiger Aspect’s Kenyan animation studio with the first eps set for a fall 2009 delivery.
The series features hand-painted animation with an emphasis on African patterns based on the famous Tinga Tinga art of Tanzania. Interestingly, Tiger Aspect is donating 50% of its proceeds from the show to help educate children in East Africa.
