California Giant, a partner in Sesame Street’s Healthy Habits for Life program, has teamed up with Giant Foods to encourage children to make healthy choices through activities, hand-outs and an appearance by Cookie Monster at the 2008 American Eagle Outfitters Tour of Pennsylvania on June 25.

California Giant Berry Farms will also be supporting health and fitness messaging by distributing fresh strawberries under the Sesame Street Healthy Habits for Life banner.

Giant Foods’ booth at the fitness festival in Carlisle, Pennsylvania supports Highmark Healthy 5, an organization focused on promoting lifelong healthy behavior in children and adolescents. Presented by Highmark Healthy High 5, the 2008 American Eagle Outfitters Tour of Pennsylvania is a six-day, 450 mile stage race across Pennsylvania from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh. The race is a signature sporting event for Pittsburgh 250, a commission established to celebrate Pittsburgh’s 250th anniversary in 2008, and is the world’s richest cycling race for elite international cyclists under age 25. California Giant Berry Farms is one of only 20 teams invited internationally to compete in this world class event.
