Jetix Europe has inked a deal with an affiliate of its majority shareholder, The Walt Disney Company, to integrate the management of its French channel with Disney Channel operations in France.

Moving forward, the Disney Channels France team will manage Jetix’ French channel alongside its existing channels, including Disney Channel and Playhouse Disney. The new deal will allow Jetix to retain the business in France, following the recent renewal of a multi-year distribution agreement.

The consumer products division in France, however, will continue to be managed by Jetix Consumer Products, the licensing division of Jetix Europe. The day-to-day management of the Jetix TV channel and website in France, including adsales, marketing, programming and online, will now be handled by Disney Channels France.
