Decode Entertainment is pairing up with Austraila’s mememe productions to co-produce the 52 x 11-minute dirtgirlworld.

The deal represents Decode’s first Canadian/Australian co-pro. So far the pair have lined ABC Australia, CBeebies and CBC as commissioning broadcasters.

dirtgirlworld targets older preschoolers and features a blend of animation, photomontage, illustration and is decidedly music-centric.

DECODE Enterprises, the distribution subsidiary of DHX Media, will handle worldwide distribution and merchandising and licensing rights for the series, excluding the UK, which will be represented by BBC Worldwide, and Australia, where mememe will take the lead.
