Nick Jr.’s Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, the preschool series produced by Bolder Media in association with Film Roman/Starz Media, is entering the home entertainment arena with gusto on September 23.

The series premiered on Nick Jr. in August, 2006, and currently airs nearly 40 times a week on Nick Jr. and Noggin. The release will be supported by an extensive marketing plan throughout TV, print, online, radio, outdoor, in-school and event marketing in the lead-up to the launch.

Anchor Bay is joining forces with a number of Wubbzy’s current licensees, which include Fisher-Price, Hasbro, Scholastic and Simon & Schuster, for national cross-promotions. In-school programs with Scholastic, for example, include dedicated book fair headers in 11,000 schools and an in-classroom poster program that will reach more than 30,000 schools across the US.

Additionally, the DVD will be featured on more than one million Langers Juice packages and have a presence in Amtrak stations and on Amtrak trains throughout the country for two months. Chuck E. Cheese restaurants will also promote Wubbzy nationwide, screening the series in its restaurants and distributing Wubbzy sticker in goodie bags. Wubbzy materials will also be handed out at Oogles n Googles locations and at the Orlando Nickelodeon Hotel.

The new 92-minute DVD A Tale of Tails (US$16.98) is available for pre-book August 21 from Anchor Bay Entertainment.
