UK-based Pineapple Squared Entertainment’s creative director David Mitton died unexpectedly last week, according to a company statement released today.
At the time of his death, Mitton was overseeing a number of creative projects, including the animated boys-skewing epic Adventures on Orsum Island.
Mitton had been a well-respected member of the UK creative industry since the 1980s, when he co-founded Clearwater Films and went on to develop Thomas the Tank Engine.
