Wayne, New Jersey-based Toys ‘R’ Us has unveiled what it believes are the top-four play trends destined to capture kids’ attentions this summer.

The trends include Backyard Bands, and TRU has tapped all things Naked Brothers and Jonas Brothers bands-related to move off-shelves with certified bestsellers Guitar Hero and Rock Band continuing to sell well.

Nature First revolves around enviro-themed toys, including Spin Master’s Bugville Live Butterfly Treehouse, which allows kids to watch caterpillars morph into butterflies.

Helping kids get physically active is the centerpiece of the Get Your Move On trend. TRU has tapped Wii Fit from Nintendo to lead the way in this category that also includes Bravo Sports’ Pulse Kick ‘N Go and Banzai Skimboard Surfer.

Finally Techno-cation revolves around mobile educational, technology-based toys. The retailer has singled out items from LeapFrog and the Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? handheld unit from Techno-Source to lead this trend.
